The month of November is dedicated to prayer for the Souls in Purgatory. Families and friends will be able to purchase a “soul light” to remember a deceased family member or friend. Common to Poland, Britain, and Ireland, soul lights (or in Polish, znicze) are small lights placed on the graves of loved ones.
You may purchase a soul light for $10 (per intention) online or at the Main Office, and we will place a handmade “lantern” (which will stay lit during the month of November) in the First Floor hallway All Souls’ display.
Our school community will pray in a special way for these deceased souls at a Solemn Mass on All Souls’ Day, November 2, at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Church.
